Meet Shawna

Hello, and welcome!  I am Shawna.  I’m glad you’re here.  If you’ve found this page, you might be looking for someone to talk to about your life and possibly looking to make some positive changes.  I would be glad to join you on your journey.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado, and I also hold a license in the State of New York as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.  I received my Masters Degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2010, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Denver in 2007.  For the past 6 years, I lived in New York State and worked in a community mental health agency as a therapist, and prior to becoming a therapist I provided case management services to children and families.

I enjoy coming alongside clients in a supportive role as you explore life events, both past and present.  I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adult age clients struggling with issues ranging from anger, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, low self-worth, codependency, trauma history, life transitions, divorce adjustment, as well as providing parenting support.  I also enjoy coming alongside clients who are seeking more growth and self-awareness.

I grew up here in Littleton and spent time between both Colorado and New York.  Some of the things I enjoy are spending time with friends and family and my adorable pup, watching and attending sporting events, traveling, and being outdoors.
